Privacy policy

1. Who we are and what this Policy covers

This website, remex.ai, is operated by Remex and Kzoneseller Inc. (together “REMEX”, “we”, “us”). The REMEX group reviews, buys and resells excess, returned and discontinued inventory for brands, retailers, suppliers and marketplace sellers, connects that inventory with business buyers, and runs U.S. warehouses in Texas and California through REMEX Liquidation Inc. The group also has affiliated companies in South Korea and China (see Section 7). This website is hosted on the Shopify platform (see Sections 3.2, 5 and 11).

This Policy explains how we handle information that identifies or relates to you when you use this website, including the “Sell to us” inventory submission form and the email and WhatsApp contact options linked from this website.

This Policy does not cover:

If you have any question about this Policy, contact us at sourcing@remexliquidation.com.

2. Who this website is for

This website and its inventory submission form are intended for adults acting on behalf of a business, such as a brand, retailer, distributor, supplier or marketplace seller. The information we collect is mainly business contact information and commercial inventory information. We do not offer consumer retail sales through this website.

The website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us so that we can remove it.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide in the inventory submission form

When you submit inventory for review, the form asks for:

Fields marked with an asterisk are required to submit the form. If you prefer not to provide them, you can still contact us by email or WhatsApp.

3.2 Submission and technical records

When the form is submitted, our intake system also records a submission ID and reference number, the date and time of submission, a label identifying this website form as the source, the page address the form was submitted from, and, where present, the referring page and campaign (UTM) parameters in the link you followed. These records help us match follow-up messages to the right submission and understand which page or link the submission came from. The form may also include a hidden anti-spam field that is not shown to people and should be left empty.

Shopify hosting. This website is hosted on Shopify. Shopify collects technical information about visits to the storefront (such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and timestamps) through server logs and the cookies described in Section 11, in order to operate, secure and report on the store for us. Shopify’s handling of this information is described in Shopify’s own privacy policy for customers of merchants.

3.3 Correspondence

If you email us, message us on WhatsApp or speak with our team, we keep the content of that correspondence and our notes about your inventory so that we can follow up and keep an accurate record of what was discussed.

3.4 Information about other people

If you give us information about someone else (for example a colleague who will handle pickup), you confirm that you are permitted to share it with us for the purposes described in this Policy.

3.5 What we do not collect through this website

This website does not collect payment card details or bank account information. Bank or payment details needed for an agreed transaction are collected separately, directly with our team, under the terms of that transaction. We do not ask for government identification numbers, dates of birth or other sensitive personal information through this website, and we ask that you do not include them in your submission.

4. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

Marketing. Submitting the inventory form does not enroll you in a marketing list. Your contact preference tells us how to reach you about the inventory you submitted; it is not a marketing opt-in. If we wish to send you marketing communications in the future, we will do so only as permitted by applicable law, and you will be able to opt out at any time by contacting us.

Form information and advertising technologies. We use the details you submit in the inventory form for the review and business purposes described in this Policy. Separately, our Shopify store has third-party apps installed, including Google & YouTube; where such an app is active on the storefront, it may place cookies or pixels that record your visit, and some U.S. state laws treat this kind of cookie-based data flow as “sharing” for advertising purposes. Section 11 explains what is in place and how to control it, and you can also email us to ask that your information not be used in this way.

No automated decisions. Decisions about whether to pursue a transaction are made by our team. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5. How submissions flow through our systems

We want to be transparent about where your submission goes:

Google and Slack process this information as our service providers. If a submission fails part-way, a brief error record (without the uploaded file contents) may be kept in the same spreadsheet so that we can troubleshoot and ask you to resend.

6. When we share information

We share information only as described here:

7. Where information is processed

REMEX is based in the United States and is part of a group with companies in South Korea and China. Submissions are stored in Google Workspace and Slack accounts used by the REMEX group; website visit data is processed by Shopify. Shopify, Google and Slack may process data in the United States, Canada and other countries where they operate. Team members in the United States and at our affiliated group companies in South Korea and China may access submissions as described in Section 6.

This means your information may be transferred to, stored in and accessed from the United States, South Korea, China and the other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in these countries may differ from the laws of your country. Where the law that applies to you requires specific safeguards for international transfers, we will provide information about the safeguards used on request.

8. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy. In practice this means:

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove the details that identify you. You can ask us to delete your information earlier (see Section 10); we will do so unless we need to keep it for one of the reasons above.

9. How we protect information

We use administrative and technical measures that are reasonable for the type of business information we handle. These include relying on Shopify’s hosted platform for the delivery of this website (including transport encryption), keeping submissions in our organization’s Google Workspace and Slack accounts rather than on public pages, keeping the credentials used by our intake system on the server side rather than in the public website code, and applying the file-sharing mode described in Section 5. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will act as required by applicable law.

10. Your choices and rights

You can contact us at any time at sourcing@remexliquidation.com to:

Depending on where you live and which laws apply to REMEX, some of these may be legal rights (for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act, other U.S. state privacy laws, or the EU or UK GDPR), and others we honor as a matter of good practice. We respond to every request. Where a law gives you a right, we will handle your request within the time and in the manner that law requires. We may decline or limit a request where the law allows, for example where we must keep records of an agreed transaction, or where fulfilling the request would affect another person’s rights.

Verification. To protect your information, we may need to confirm that a request comes from you, usually by replying to the email address or phone number you used in your submission. We will not ask for more information than is reasonably needed to do this.

Authorized agents. Where the law allows, you may ask someone else to submit a request for you. We may ask for reasonable proof that they are authorized.

No discrimination. We will not treat you differently because you exercised a privacy right.

If you are not satisfied. If we decline all or part of your request, we will tell you why, and you may ask us to reconsider. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection or consumer protection authority in your country or state.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

Shopify platform cookies. Because this website runs on Shopify, Shopify sets cookies on the storefront. According to Shopify’s published cookie policy these fall into three groups: cookies necessary for the store to function (for example session, security and localization cookies), a reporting and analytics cookie that Shopify uses to measure how the storefront is used, and a marketing cookie used for Shopify’s buyer-surface marketing data. Shopify states that it does not itself set advertising cookies through merchant storefronts.

Apps and integrations installed on our store. Our Shopify store has third-party apps installed, including the Google & YouTube channel app. The theme also loads Google Tag Manager, which can load tags according to its configuration. Depending on how an app is configured, it may place its own cookies, pixels or tags (for example for Google Analytics, Google Ads or YouTube) when you visit. Contact us with questions about the integrations and privacy choices available on this website.

Your controls. Where our store’s customer-privacy settings show a cookie banner or privacy choices for your region, you can use it to decline non-essential cookies; the choice is remembered by Shopify. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can use the opt-out tools published by Google and other providers. Browser privacy settings can affect parts of the site or linked services.

The inventory form. If you start filling in the inventory form, your unfinished entries stay in the page’s memory only while the page is open; they are not stored in cookies or in your browser’s storage and they disappear when you leave the page.

Other sites. Links on this website lead to third-party services, including WhatsApp, Google Maps, LinkedIn, news sites that republished our press release, our wholesale site and the REMEX seller portal. Those services set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.

12. Third-party websites and services

This Policy applies only to this website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services, including the REMEX seller portal at remexmanagement.com, which is governed by the separately published program terms and account terms. Please review the policies of any service you use to contact us or that you visit from a link on this website.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in how this website works or in applicable law. The date at the top shows when the current version was prepared. If we make a material change, we will post a clear notice on this page and, where we have an active inquiry with you, we may also tell you directly. Please review this page from time to time.
